Reiki originates in Japan and was rediscovered by
Mikao Usui in the 1800's. It is an ancient
Hands on Healing Art.
Rei means Universal Life Force and is something we are born with;
Ki means "universal life energy" in Japanese and is part of the
Rei and flows through all that is alive.
and it is also known as
- chi in Chinese medicine
- ka to the Egyptians,
- prana to the Hindu
and
- mana in the Hawaiian Huna tradition.
